Object Character Recognition Software

This Object Character Recognition software was coded by myself and three other students in C++ as a final project for my Artificial Intelligence course at Oberlin College.  We coded a neural net and trained it on several different types of fonts.  We then fed it text to see if it could recognize letters.  For our final presentation, we had our classmates handwrite letters on a piece of paper, which we then scanned and fed into our program.  Surprisingly, it preformed quite well, even though we hadn't trained it on any form of handwriting.
